We went to see Mattie last night, but she was still pretty groggy. Brad helped her with her C-pap and we all split around 9pm so she could rest. Just spoke on the phone with her and she is doing ok but feeling a little puny with nausea. She asked that I let ya'll know she is at St Francis Hospital, 1700 SW 7th St, here in Topeka, KS, 66606. She's in room 503 and can be reached at 785-295-8503. I'll probably wait till later to go visit, I hear some of the streets are flooding with the rain we just got dumped on us. I know Mattie appreciates having a site like this and folks who understand to visit with. Debra

Mattie was wheeled in for her surgery about 12:30pm today. She was pretty calm and in good spirits, About 3pm, we (meaning myself, her hub-Brad, and his parents) were told to wait for the Dr in a conference room they have set up just for that. This feller who looked too damn young to be a Dr to me, visited with us and said everything went well and that she was heading for recovery and would be out for a while still. I headed on home after we knew she was ok. Her hubby called around 5pm to say she was awake but real groggy, had just took some pain meds and was going to snooze some more. Our other friend and dance partner, Shawna, and I are heading out to the hosp real soon here to check on her. Later, Deb

You're close now, girl! One of the guys at WN said his wife had it done. He'll probably email you. I been collecting up angels for you. That is what I'm supposed to do ain't it? Don't you dare try to borrow the flip-flop you got me to slap me with. Ding-a-lings have feelings, too, you know. And supreme control of the flip-flop! We'll see how funny you think I am around 5pm tomorrow!! I love you, Debra
