3 months out

Jan 23, 2012

I cannot believe I was exactly 3 months out to the day of starting my pre-op and I was down 85.6 lbs.  I still didn't see it in the mirror.  I still look at a fuat girl looking back.

But then a guy at work, who I've been eyeballing for a year, actaully came over to me and asked how I was feeling and told me I look great!  I went home and looked in the mirror again... that fat girl wsn't looking back anymore.  A more slender one was.  And damn was she sute.

I also just received some clothes from a friend who had the lap band last year.  I thought for sure they wouldn't fit YET.  I put a pair of the jeans on this morning... and I am pulling them up every time I get out of my chair.  Sheesh... I don't even own a belt.  I can't tell you the last time I had a pair of pants on that had a button and zipper.

Well.. off to the gym.  Gotta get down another 20 before I visit Mom in Florida next month.

6 weeks out

Nov 25, 2011

So I went to the doctor on Wednesday for my 4 week follow up.  I was 319 at my 1 week post op... so all I wanted was 21 lb loss to get me under 300 lbs, which I have not been in at least 10 years.

Well... I got on the scale and BOOO YAHHHH.... 292.6 lbs.  Thats a 26.4 lb loss.  Yippy.. under 300.  I swear I will NEVER have a 3 in front of my weight EVER again!!!!!!

11/11/11 Shirt Size

Nov 10, 2011

Ok... so i am 23 days out and I put on a T-shirt from 4 years ago.  When I made the purchase, it was big on me, as I always wear my clothes too big to hide all the sh*t people don't need to see. Anyway... when I wore this shirt last summer, it was a bit tight.  So I put it in the back of the drawer and left it there.  This morning I put it on and it was almost back to being too big.  Makes me happy to see my clothes fitting like this, as all I see getting smaller right now is my face and my arms/hands.  I can't wait to go shopping for shoes.  I have such a shoe fettish and could NEVER in my life wear cool shoes because my foot is too fat and I have a high instep.   Keep reminding myself... a wise woman once told me... "Slow and Steady wins the race!!!!"
