Hi all, it's me again, almost 3 years post-op. I have really hit a plateau, and seem pretty much to be stuck at the 180 pound mark, which is honestly okay with me. I wouldn't mind loosing more, but I don't fret at the thought of being this size at 80 years old either. I am going in to talk to a surgeon next week about a tummy tuck and (another) hernia repair (the pregnancy 2 months after having the last repair got blown out)but it's good new too, cuz now I get to have the tummy done, and I think that will inspire me to work even more on loosing more once the sagging skin is gone, and I will want to look even better in a bikini. Feel free to write to me if you have questions about the surgery. I still know it was the best thing I ever did for myself, and for my kids. P.S. The baby is now 14 months, and running everywhere, it's great to be able to run after her!

Hi all, it's me. Happy birthday to me, Happy birthday to me, Happy Birthday NEW MEEEEEE, Happy Birthday to me! Well, today is my two year anniversary, I can not believe the wonderful turns my life has taken. I am currently down to 179 pounds, I am still 24 pounds from the goal weight I set for myself, but personally I think I am doing wonderfully. I had to put my weight loss on hold for nearly a year, but I am back on track and down to a size 16. As for why I had to put weightloss on hold, well, about a year ago I was at work and got deathly ill, thought for sure I had gotten some type of food poisoning or worse. Turns out it was a nothing more than a fabulous case of pregnancy! Something a doctor 3 years ago had told me couldn't occure for me any longer... boy was she wrong! I was 13 months post surgery, and everything went fine, other than the psycological aspects of loosing all that weight and then starting to gain. I actually did very well, I gained 24 pounds with the pregnancy and came home 34 pounds lighter than the day I found out I was pregnant. Healthy baby girl, no complications and let me tell you, I've had babies at 300+ pounds and one at 200+ this last one was so much easier. And I love playing with her! Baby Maddie is nearly 4 months old and Momma is back to loosing again. I like that she will never know a mommy who was to big and to tired to just play. I love my new life. God blessed me with this second lease on life. I will not disappoint Him.

It's me!!! I am home and I am doing so good, it is unbelieveable! I won't lie. There were a few sore times, but what's that old saying? No Pain, no gain.. I guess it could work this way too. I do have a pretty big incission, but heck, I am a pretty big person, and everyone carries a scar or two, weather or not we all can vissually see them. This is one scar I don't think I will mind sporting. I have not felt hungry even once, and the way I could eat, it just feels kinda wierd not to CARE about weather or not something goes in or not. I will be around, so ask me anything you'd like, so far my opinion of the surgery would be.. "GO FOR IT" and considering I am only 3 days post op, I think that is saying a whole lot!

I talked to Kat today, and she continues to sound great. The doc took away her "happy pump" and she is now on liquid Tylenol with codeine. And, so as yoiu can expect, she is a bit more uncomfortable today then she has been. Looks as if Kat may get to go home tommarow or the next day...therefore, the next post on this page will probably be by her. She says to tell everyone "hello" and she can't wait to talk to you all again soon. Ps. Kat also said that she has not been hungry a single time since surgery, and so far has had no desire to eat. This surgery is amazing!!!!...

I talked to Kat tonight and she sounded wonderful. Not a bit groggy as I expected her to. She said that she was in a little pain but was taking full advantage of her "happy pump"..lol. She also said that she has not been up walking yet, but expects to do that tommarow. Kat is now safely on the other side.....YES!!!! I will post another update tommarow.
