Well I have made it through the surgery with ease. I fell great! Dr. Melkonian is the best. I felt great since day one. Surgery only took 50 minutes. It is amazing what they can do now. I am home now and am feeling wonderful. No appetite which is good. I am trying to increase my protein to 3 oz per day now. So far, so good.

Well, I went to see the anethesiologist today. I am up in the air now as I have a sinus infection and it may postpone my surgery. I am waiting to hear back from Dr. Melkonian. Good news is that I have lost 10 pounds so far.
Nine days left

I have nine more days until my surgery. The liquid diet has been a little bit of a challenge since I am working out doors right now. I have also contracted some sort of sore throat and conjestion that has left me feeling like crap. I go and see my reg dr. tomorrow to try and get something to make me feel better. I do not want this cold to stand in my way of the surgery. I also go and visit the anesthesologist on Tuesday so maybe they can make my mind be a little more at ease.

I started my liquid diet yesterday. It was a little hard to do however I kept busy most of the day. It became harder at night. But, a trip to Walmart satified my needs when I stocked up on sugar free pudding ( I do not like jello). I found a really good protein shake called Muscle milk light from GNC, It has 25 g of protein per serving. Tastes really good as well.
I also attended a support group meeting last night. Everyone there is so helpful, being at various stages of the process. I look foward to attending. I almost wish it met more often. Well next time I attend, I hope to be down at least 20 pounds!

I am 3 days away from starting my liquid diet. I am a little nervous but feel determined to make it through. I have just a little over 2 weeks before surgery. I can say I am under attack right now. I know this is God's will for me as the attacks are really close to home. NOTHING WILL STEAL THE THUNDER I HAVE TO BE SUCCESSFUL AT THIS!!!
Support Group Meeting

I attended a support group meeting yesterday. It was amazing to me to actually see people who have went through the surgery and hear their stories. It was nice to see people at different stages of their journey. I am starting to realize that my feelings are similar to others who have been overweight. Those fears have been mine for so long and to acutally hear others express them, makes me want to yell and say YEAH!!! that is how I have felt or that was my thoughts as well. It made me more excited to have this surgery.
