5 years out

Jul 02, 2014

Well, at almost five years out I am feeling great and like myself.

I was at my lowest weight at about a year out and since then have gained aprrox. 30 pounds.  All is well, though. I am relearning how to eat healthy and on my way back to a 20 -25 pound weight loss to be right where I want to be and maintain. I want to offer this advise to anyone looking to have this surgery.  Be ready to be dedicated. This cannot be a quick fix and must be looked at long term. It is not easy and it is not guaranteed. Complications may exist and sometimes you may wonder if it was worth it.  It can be, but it requires hard work and a drive for life long change!  So good Luck and best wishes!

Home from the hospital

Nov 06, 2009

Well, I did it!  I am back home now and feeling very sore.  No pain meds right now however so it is deffinetely baerable. I don't know why i didint' think it would hurt this much..DUH!  The pain is just a hurdle to the outcome, hewever and I am looking forward to that.  I just have to work my way through the first 6-8 weeks and then I should be living a morenormal life, only healthier.
