My name is Melissa. I live in vale, nc. I have a wonderful husband of almost 6yrs. I have 3 beautiful boys. I am also 24yrs old. I weigh 280lbs. I have always been big. I have never been able to say that I was thin. I have been thinking about having gastric bypass surgery for the last three months. I want to be healthy for myself and for my family. I don't have any medical problems other than back pain and pain in the knees and in the feet. My blood pressure has been high in the past but considering that I have not had it checked in almost a year I don't what it is now. Tomrrow I am going to my first visit with my family doctor. I am going to talk with him about having gastric bypass. I am tired of being over weight. I am tired of doing the diets and gaining the weight back and more. I just want to live a long life and with out having the surgery I don't see that. My dad has so many health problems associated with being over weight that it scares me. He has four heart attacks and he is only 45yrs old today. I have to get my health togeather.
