George Bitar

"I’m one of those patients Doctors run from. I never do anything without way too much research and angst. Dr. Bitar was one of several surgeons I met with. When I left the office, I knew that I’d found the right one but went ahead and met with the other two I was scheduled to meet. After WLS June 2004, I lost 168 pounds in 10 months and started searching for the right Plastic Surgeon. After 3 years of looking and pondering, I consulted with Dr. Bitar and his staff. They were wonderful from the first initial phone call, to my numerous follow-up questions. I’m three weeks out from an inverted T extended abdominoplasty with vental hernia repair and medial thigh lifts. I’m already able to look past the swelling and am quite pleased with my results. I can’t wait to finish healing so I can continue onto the other procedures I’ve been wanting."

Joseph Chebli

"I'm one of those people who will speak with anyone. I was chatting with a lady who worked for a GI specialist and asked about WLS. She said her doctor didn't do that but her mother in law worked in the same office as Dr. Chebli. She had so many wonderful things to say about him that I decided to check it out. She gave me the number. I called and was pretty bummed to find out that he was no longer with them. I figured I had nothing to lose and asked them if they could give me his new number and what do you know? They did. I fell in love with the way his staff treated me and then the treatment from Dr. Chebli put it right over the top. After that first meeting, there was no way I was going to have anyone else work on me. I was a neonatal nurse for two years and then a psychiatric nurse for 1year before I started having babies and decided to stay home. I still remember how we were taught to care for patients. From the first day of the four year program we had it drilled in us that we should find another field if we wanted to treat people like cattle. I guess volunteering at several nursing homes and hospitals for the last 15 years didn't hurt to remind me either. I am very careful about who touches my family or me. I've been known to switch doctors because I didn't like the way the staff treated someone while I was sitting in the waiting room. I had such a great feeling about Dr. Chebli that I figured if anything happened to me, it wouldn't be on his watch. If you are searching for a WLS physician, you can stop now. It doesn't get any better than Dr. Chebli and he has the caring supportive staff to back him up. If you have any questions, email me. I seem to be pretty good at calming pre-ops down the day and even hours before surgery :-) "

Inova Fair Oaks Hospital

"I've been hospitalized many times for asthma, tumor, childbirth, etc. The building, physicians and support staff were fantastic. The nurses were HORRIBLE! Never have I been at a hospital where the nurses refused to come when you pushed the nurse call button. I was close enough to hear it going off but they would not come unless my husband went and got them. The nurses lied about whether or not I told them about my symptoms but the kicker was when a nurse left me in the restroom 45 minutes after I pushed the RESTROOM call button. I will be writing a detailed letter to the administration. The nurses seem to have forgotten what was drilled in our heads throughout the four years of nursing school, DO NOT TREAT YOUR PATIENTS LIKE CATTLE! They have feelings. "
