WENT INTO SURGERY A BIT LATE ON 2/10/03 BUT WAS IN MY ROOM AND FULLY CONSIOUS BY 1:30PM THAT AFTERNOON. REMEMBER WAKING UP IN RECOVERY WITH AN "ELEPHANT" ON MY CHEST!!! SMILING HOSPITAL STAY WAS NOT WHAT I WOULD HAVE EXPECTED FROM HARPER/HUTZEL. CAME HOME WEDNESDAY, 2/12/03 WITH DRAINAGE TUBE AND PAIN MEDICINE AND NEEDLES TO SHOOT MYSELF IN THE STOMACH TWICE A DAY ( ABOUT THE HARDEST PART) SO FAR! SMILING THIS IS DAY 7 POST OP AND STILL ON CLEAR LIQUIDS, A BIT WEAK BUT COMFORTABLE AND NO PROBLEMS! SEEING DOC ON FRIDAY TO HAVE STAPLES THAT ARE RUNNING FROM BETWEEN MY BREAST TO BELOW NAVEL REMOVED AND DRAINAGE TUBE. BOWEL MOVEMENTS WERE A BIT OF A SHOCK AT FIRST, BUT BECAUSE OF THIS SITE WAS ABLE TO RESEARCH THE "WHY" OF IT! SMILING JUST WAITING TO MOVE ON WITH DIET AND RECOVERY. HARD WATCHING TV COMMERICALS BECAUSE MOST ARE ABOUT FOOD! SMILING I EVEN DREAM ABOUT FOOD! SMILING
