I am 51 yrs old and have been married 34 yrs to my loving hubby Richard. I am a native Houstonian and Texan. I have been overweight just about all of my life. I am a compulsive eater and I use food for comfort. It doesn't matter if I am happy, sad, angry or depressed...I reach for food to make me feel better. I have got to change that!!!
We have 2 grown children, our son, Richard, Jr. (33) and our daughter, Jamie (30). Since 1999, we have been raising our great neice and nephew, Joey (12) and Cindy (11). They are both a joy and a challenge! LOL! I really feel my age with them!
We have been blessed with 13 beautiful grandchildren! Our son, Richard, and our lovely daughter in law, Misty, have 3 handsome boys...Nicholas, Douglas and Matthew and a beautiful daughter, Taylor Brooke. Our daughter, Jamie, has 4 handsome boys...Justin, Chase, Adam and Aaron. We also have 3 step-grandkids from her previous marriage...Paul, Jr., Alyssa and Daniel. And one step-grandson, Jacob, from her current relationship. We just had our 13th grandchild July 3rd...Our daughter had a baby girl, Laurynn Nicole!!! That makes us 10 boys and 3 girls!!! I love spending time with them!
I was disabled back in 1995, due to an "on the job injury." I injured my neck, left shoulder and my lower back. I live with chronic pain and my back has constant muscle spasms. I developed Fibromyalgia and Mayofacia Pain complex over the years too. I am a diabetic, have both high blood pressure and cholesterol, Hypothyroidism, Diabetic Neuropathy and a few more health issues. I must take 14 prescriptions each day...and I hate it!
I am hoping I will get approved for WLS. I have been looking into it for many years now. Went to a seminars back in the 90's. My insurance would not cover it. I am hoping my Medicare HMO will this time!
