I am 45 years old, wow, did I just say that!! I have been on the journey to Gastric Bypass for almost one and a half years. It July 2005 after i got married (first marriage) I went and met with a doctor for an evaluation and qualified for surgery but.........my husband hald onto the paperwork and handed it in late so..................now it was considered pre-existing and I would need to wait a year!! Can you believe it, obesity being a pre-existing condition! Well, we moved to Virginia (from NJ) in May and I hit the fast track. Started a job for the state in June->went to info conference in October->November met with NP at surgeons office and ->2 weeks later approved!! So I have a date for 1/17/07. Happy New Year!!
