Pending insurance authorization, my surgery date is November 15th.  Can't believe it's so soon!!!  I also notified my boss that I'll be off work awhile, and I contacted the disability unit to start a disability claim.  This weekend I'm going to buy my vitamins and get some protein drinks and bars.  I'm getting very anxious/nervous about having surgery, but I keep reminding myself that I'll be so much thinner, healthier and more active in just a few months.  I plan on going camping next summer, and hopefully going to Europe in May.  Can't wait to sit in an airline seat without the arm rest cutting into me, without having to ask for a seatbelt extender and without having the tray table come down only part way.  Putting that tray table down all the way will feel so good!!!  Oh, and not being worried about using the airplane toilet.  I know it's going to be difficult at first, but I'm excited about my new life!!!!!!

Got my UGI and stress test done, now I just need to complete one more visit with the nutritionist then we can submit the authorization request to my insurance.  So far I'm on track to have surgery mid-November.

Had my first appointment with the surgeon yesterday.  Have to get a couple of tests done and complete requirements for the insurance; but, he says we should be able to do the surgery by Thanksgiving.  Also, lost 4 pounds since my last visit to the weight loss center.
