I've been neglecting my blog! Just had my first nutrition class today...woohoo 5 more months... hopefully by the time the year ends I'll have my surgery but am happy that I am working hard on the no carbs... very hard to do but havent been craving it. I have lost a total of 22lbs.... Yippee!  and I am feeling good... emotionally, physically, and spiritually!

Finally am seeing the pounds come off... total of 17lbs in exactly 1 month from today! Haven't been so happy in so long. My Weightloss surgery process is 6 months and even though I am so desperate to have surgery, I am happy making progress slowly but the point is that its coming off! I feel Blessed!

was doing great last week lost about another pound, not much but slowly getting there! made a mistake yesterday of spoiling myself with one slice of pepperoni pizza and put on more calories than I'm supposed to but I did alot of shopping around so I'm thinking I burned alot too! hope so!! lol but had a wonderful mothers day with my boys and starting my second week of my journey... thursday is my appointment with PCP to get the referral to my insurance and nutritionist...thought it was going to be 6 months of visiting my nutritionist but called the insurance and found out it's actually 3 months...I could live with that!!! I would have to wait no matter what! lol
Well my husband came down with a case of food poisoning so I guess it's playing nurse all day! GB everyone on your journey!

So Yesterday I got a call from Yale University to start my Journey to WLS...YAY!!!! and Monday I started a low fa,t low carbs, high fiber diet and it's paying off...first three days and already lost 4lbs..... Yippee! I have never committed myself this much to myself....My boys and my husband has always been more important than thought of myself but everything has a limit and I have reached my limit! so I'll be putting myself right up there with my boys...I deserve happiness too!! so here's to making a lifestyle change to the way I eat, to my health, and to the way I live and my self-image!!!!

so I got a call back about 20 mins ago about the Doctor I preferred doesn't take my insurance but good news is that my insurance does cover weight loss surgery.....yippee! but still got to find another Doctor.... well to start my journey over!! very determined to get this journey started! GB

I JUST GOT BACK FROM MY WEIGHT LOSS SEMINAR AND FOUND IT VERY EDUCATIONAL. ENCOURAGED ME TO GO AHEAD WITH THE PROCESS. PRAYING TO GOD THAT THEY TAKE MY INSURANCE AND THAT MY INSURANCE DON'T GIVE ME A HARD TIME!!! GOT TO WAIT AT LEAST 48 HOURS FOR THE OFFICE TO CONTACT ME ABOUT MY INSURANCE COVERAGE AND I'LL BE STARTING MY JOURNEY TO A BETTER LIFE! ALL I KNOW IS THAT FOR THE NEXT 48 HOURS, I WILL EXPERIENCE A LOT OF ANXIETY! WHOOHOOOOO...TRUE BLESSINGS....GB

I AM VERY EXCITED, I GO TO THE WEIGHT LOSS SEMINAR TOMORROW! CAN'T WAIT TO START THIS JOURNEY TO A BETTER LIFE FOR ME AND MY FAMILY! I AM ANXIOUS TO GET THE SURGERY, I DREAM AND THINK ABOUT IT 24/7..LOL...I KNOW, A LITTLE PATHETIC BUT SEEING ALL THOSE BEAUTIFUL BEFORE AND AFTER PICTURES ON THIS FORUM...I JUST WANT TO BE ONE OF THOSE BEFORE AND AFTER. NO ONE ELSE UNDERSTANDS THIS DEPRESSION I FEEL INSIDE, ALWAYS HAVING TO HIDE BUT HERE I FEEL EMOTIONALLY SAFE. WELL ENOUGH OF THAT, TOMORROW CAN'T COME ANY FASTER BUT FOR NOW GOING TO GO ENJOY MY BEAUTIFUL, SUNNY SUNDAY WITH MY HUSBAND AND BOYS! GB
