She called just to verify they have received all the paperwork and she has submitted it to the surgeon for review and if he feels I am a good candidate then the next step is on to the surgical scheduler.. This process might take another week...  Aaaggghh..  I need to stay focused and positive..  In the long run all the waiting will be worth it.. right??

I received a copy of my psych eval yesterday and it was in favor of me having the surgery!!!!  Yipeee.. My surgical Coordinator has been out on vacation and is due back tomorrow 1/4 and I am on vacation all this week so I will be calling the surgeons office to see what the next step is and if I can get a surgical date scheduled...

I had my Dr appointment last week and had all the lab work done and an EKG however when they read the EKG I had some irregular PVC's so i had to wear a Holter Heart Monitor for 24 hours.. the report came back fine so my Dr said he released me for the surgery.. sure hope my surgeon feels the same way.  Then Friday of last week I had the psych eval done.. that was actually pretty funny, especially the question "have you been on the cover of any magazines lately?"  HA yeah I am sure... NOT!  So I should be getting the test results form the psych eval back in a week or so and I hope to get the surgery scheduled.  As far as I understnad then next step is meeting with the Dietician twice prior to the surgery..  I am still so pumped up about the pending surgery..  Trying to keep myslef in check so I don't get my hopes to high..

Well my Surgical coordinator was not wrong when she said this pre op process is a marathon and not a sprint!  It takes what seems like forever to get tot he next step in the process.. I am now on schedule for the screening process,, having EKG and other medical testing done 12/15 and the Psych eval done 12/18.. I wonder how long it will take for the Dr's to get the test results back to the surgical coordinator so I can move on to the next step.. what is the next step by the way?  Pre-op dietician and hopefully the surgical scheduling..  I am so pumped up for this.  I can hardley wait!  BRING IT.. :)

Just got the call from my surgeons office this morning!!  They received my approval letter from my insurance company and I am so excited!!  Now on to the lab work and testing.. shooting for  February 2010 surgery date!!!
