I made it through surgery and the post op recovery with no big issues.
I was down to 210 on my first week, a 12 pound weight loss in one week.
Today I was at 203 so my total loss to date is 33 pounds. Not bad for a month.
Still learning the eating and getting water in while working. But over all it has been going great!!

Count Down -10 day to go
Mar 18, 2007
Well I am starting the count down now. Can not hardly believe that its only 10 days away..........a small leap in the stomach to just say that.
I have started the liquid diet that Dr. H has us do now. 14 day out and all liguids. I am doing pretty good at it. The first two days were hard, I just wanted something to chew. Today was the best day yet on the diet but still was looking for something to chew. Tuna even smelled good. Thinking I could eat some tuna.....but I will be good. A note at the preop I had lost 6 pounds from the consult and as of this morning I am down 4 pounds from the preop. So that is a total of 10 pounds since getting the ball rolling. I am expecting to be down a couple of more before surgery at this rate. Whoo hoo.
I even had a nurse ask me at pre op if I was sure I wanted to go throught with the surgery since I had lost 6 pounds already. I know that I can lose 20 maybe even 30 pounds with ease but past that it just wont come off and I get discouraged and then I eat and gain that plus 10 back.
This is the tool I need to make the life time changes that I will need to keep that 30 and more off.
So here we go.
I also have uploaded some photos for all you that have been asking for updated pics. They are from last week when we went to Biloxi to vist my step daughter. Also have DH in a couple of them.

I am scheduled for an upper GI on March 12th. Then on March 19th I go in for the pre-op at Bothwell. It is getting close and the closer it gets the less nerves I seem. Am I just crazy or can you become less nerves??? I am sure that will change when it comes down to the wire.
