Just beginning my journey

My Name is Jennifer. I live in Clarksville TN. I am on day 4 of my pre-op diet. I began this journey about 8 moths ago. Finally recieved insurance approval. Meeting with Dr. Spaw at Babtist Hosptial on Wednesday Nov. 2nd. I am very excited and very scared at the same time. About a year and half ago I lost my job of 10 years. I decided that it was time to take a good hard look at my life and make sure I was headed in the right direction. I returned to school to finish my BA in Business Management over a year ago and I LOVE it. It was during this time that I realized that I had to start taking care of myself. I have always been large but over this last year my Grandmother passed away and it has been tough. So I ate which is par for course. I am ready to move forward with my surgery hopfully within the next two weeks. The two protien shakes and healthly choice meal a day is tough. Eating less than 1000 calories a day is a big big change for me. But I am ready, it doesn't feel like a punishment, just something tough that I have to get through. I never realized how much I ate just becuase I was upset, sad, angry or just happy. It is getting easier. Any hints or advice is greatly welcome.
