I'm back to pre-pregnancy weight this morning, 180 lbs. Haven't seen this number since 1998!! Whoo-hoo!!!

One week ago today I had the surgery and I'm starting to feel more normal, even though I get tired easily. Having a hard time drinking all that protein, but I'm working on it. Just a clarification: my surgeon was Dr. Nissin Nahmias, not Dr. Carlos Barba...they are partners and for some reason he wasn't in the list to choose...I was VERY happy w/ him though!!!

 Surgery in less than six hours!!!!!!!!!!! It's finally here!!!!!!!!

Only four days until surgery!!!!!!!

Endoscopy tomorrow!!! Liquid diet starts in 3 days, and pre-op bloodwork in on week!!!

Hello all! I started my weight loss journey in February 2010. I feel like I've seen every specialist under the sun and jumped through flaming hoops of fire, but this past week I got the surprise of my life when I got a surgery date set...it will be on November 19th, which is about 3 weeks away...!! I can't believe it's real!! I keep thinking they're gonna call me and say it was all a mistake, but that's just my negative self talking. My liquid diet starts on November 5th, and though I'm sure I'm going to miss solids I cannot wait!!! There are no pics of me because I very rarely allow them to be taken and so I have none stored on my computer; you can see my dog instead :) If they photograph me pre-surgery I will see about having a before/after shot on here...no Thankgiving feast for me this year, haha, just protein drinks. I love Thanksgiving, it's my favorite holiday, but this is so worth it. I can't stop smiling :)))))
