Ok guys. I am now 1 week and 1 day post op.
Yesterday's 1 wk appointment was great. Doc was proud. I was happy to have lost 13 lbs. My drain tube was taken out, and some of my staples (every other one) were taken out.
So, today the weather was wonderful! I went to the local walking track to walk a few laps. This is the first time I have actually done this since surgery. I walked a mile, then drove home. About half an hour after getting home, I decided to take a little nap. I slept from 10:30 until 3pm! The whole day went by! I guess I over exerted myself. I should have stopped at 1/2 or 3/4 of a mile! I will go back tomorrow and I will see if 1/2 mile in the morning and 1/2 mile in the afternoon will work!
Other than that I am doing good! All liquids are fine, Jell-o hurts going down, so I don't eat it very much. Chocolate protein drinks also hurt going down, so I have been trying to stick to chicken broth flavored unjury.
I love my tool pouch! And I cannot wait to eat refried beans!!
