"My first impression of Dr. Oldham was that he is very intelligent when it comes to bariatric surgery. When I first met him, I didn't feel ashamed of my weight. With a lot of other doctors, I always worried when the subject of my obesity was going to come up, and what other ailment they were going to contribute to my obesity; however, Dr. Oldham wasn't like that. Although he is a very healthy man, he understands what his patients are going through, and he truly wants to help them. I felt at ease with Dr. Oldham, as well. Talking to him was like talking to a friend. He makes you feel comfortable. Although he was very adamant about the risks, he wants to do everything within his power to keep you safe in order for you to have a good result from this surgery. In regard to the office staff, you could not ask for a nicer group of ladies! Everyone smiles at you, and you truly feel like everyone really cares about you, which I know they do. The programs that the Georgetown Bariatric Center offer are unbelievable. Through all my research, I could not find one program in my area that offered the support that this program does. I feel that I have made the best choice for my surgery and for the care and support I will need after my surgery. On a 1-10 scale, I would rate this program a 20!!!"
