Update

Well I wish I could say I have met my goal but  instead I have gained weight... But a lot has happened in between.
In August 2006I noticed that I had suddenly gained about 20 lbs back and then a little more. I went to have my blood work done and found out that I was pregnant. The pregnancy went well even though I found that most OBGYN's do not have much to  reference to . There have not been many studys of pregnancy after WLS.
Well fastfoward nine month and we have a new Baby boy named Lucas. He is a healthy baby and I was able to breast feed for nine months without any problems.  After I stoped my Iron and calcium were low so  now I take more Iron and calcium supplaments.
Unfortunetly I gained another 20 lbs  now I am at 239lbs.
Now i'Il have to get back on track!!!! Lean meats and veggies only. I was at 244 but I did the five dat pouch test and managed to lose 5 lbs to   jump start my pouch.  It is not going to be easy but I have to  work my tool. It is the only way.  Unfortunetly I have not been excersicing as I was before due to a new hernia on my lower abdomen.
Well that is were I am now.   Hopefully I  will update more often.

I have used this site as a tool to guide me on this journey and have found just about every thing I have needed as far as answers to all my questions about the surgury I even looked up my Dr. here. This site has been a blessing to me.
I had my surgery on August 20th of 2003. I started out at 301lb. within the last 6 months I have lost 103lb . I had lap RNY distal and they removed my galbladder at the same time due to multiple gal-stones.After 3 weeks I was back at work and doing fine. There have been weeks when I dont lose any weight at all wich can be frustrating but after looking at my daily rutine I can always find something that I am not doing right. Staing away from carbs has been hard. I still have to cook for my family and that is when the temptation begins! I find myself trying this or that. At first I would spit it out but lately I find that I can tolerate more than I thoght. This I have found to be the reason for my weight loss slowing down. I need to go back and remember why I did this in the first place and start worikng harder. But over all I think I am doing pretty good. -100lb in six months is GOOD!

As of this morning I am downto 197lb it may only be one pound but i counts! I think i need a digital scale so that it will be more presise some times I can't quite tell when you only lose 1 lb if it is 1lb 1.5lbs or even 2 but i think it was only one .
I just have to thank God for giving me the chance to enjoy my boys growing up and be able to run and play with them now. It is those little things that make such a big impact on their lives and now I am able to do these things with them.
As long as I space out my meals and vitamins I find that my energy level stays the same throughout the day, there are still some days that I get tired easely but I still have more energy than I did before surgery.

4/19/04 Things have slowed down the weight loss is much slower and now more than ever I need to concentrate on following the rules drinking my water and eating right . It has gotten much harder now that i feel hunger again and have beeen so buisy that I tend to forget to drink more and chew slowly. I seem to eat more when I am in a hurry and dont always make the right choices. But that is why comeing to this web site helps so much just reading other peoples posts remindes me that I am not the only one going thru this and there are other people heare to help along the way. tHaks so much to all of you who constently remind us of what we should be doing and holding us accountable.!!
