Starting weight on the day of my first consult was 331lbs.  I had to have several tests and six months of diet modification before I could be cleared for surgery.  Surgery was finally set for February 12, 2009.  Presurgery weight was 321lbs.  I have experienced some minor setbacks.  I am gaining strength with each passing day.  At my six week check up I weighed 286lbs.  I am so thrilled with my weight loss.  To celebrate I went to a salon and had a pedicure, manicure and a new hair style.  It is wonderful to celebrate events in ways that take care of myself instead of being focused on food.
