I do not remember ever being slim. My mom tells the story that when I was 5 my appendix almost ruptured and was taken to the hospital to have it removed. This happened because my dad like any man who’s first born is a boy wants that son to be big and strong. My father 5’5” weighing it at 110 lbs was trying to bulk up to be like The Incredible Hulk ( Lou Ferrigno) drinking protein shakes and lifting weight. He thought that would do me some good too. I had to drink these protein/gain weight shakes with raw eggs every afternoon until my appendix gave out. My mom’s story goes that when I went in the hospital I was a size 7 in cloths and 6 months later I was a size 14 and from that day forward I have been overweight. And like any drug or alcohol addict I will never be cured but hope to live day by day one step at a time to reach my goal of 200 lbs.
