WOW, Can't believe it's already been 4 months!!

Jun 11, 2007

I really can't believe it, I'm down 60 pounds, last time I weighed I was 180 pounds  I'm wearing 14's and some 12's!!!  I can't believe it!!  I feel so good, I've really started working out now instead of just walking.  One of the girls I work with is training me to run marathons with her, she says I should be ready for a 1/2 marathon in December...we'll see...lol!  All my labs at my 3 month check up were great!  It's just been such an amazing adventure so far.....For the first time in a very long time, I love me life!!!

Can this be real?

The past few weeks have been amazing...I'm really starting to see a difference when I look in the mirror.  I weighed this morning and I've lost 45 pounds!!!  I'm below 200 for the first time in forever, and it feels so good!!!!  Today I put on a pair of pants that just a few weeks ago I had just starting fitting in and now they are getting too big....I can't even explain how great it feels!  This past week, I have gotten so many compliments from people at work about how much weight I've lost, my husband has even finally noticed, and mentioned it...thats a big accomplishment!

One month check up

Mar 13, 2007

I had my one month check up today, Dr. Freeman said everything looked great!!  All of my lab work was good except my pre-albumin was a little low, he wants me to get more protein in...and I've lost a total of 29 pounds, my BMI is down to 35....WHooo Hoooo!!!!  I'm so excited!!!

Hanging in there!!

Today is Thursday March 1st....I weighed yesterday and I have lost 23 pounds, very exciting to see the scales go down and not up!!!  I am feeling much better about myself, not so discouraged anymore!!!  I went back to work this week, I worked 3 twelve hours shifts, it was really hard my first day back, but I made it!!!  Whooo Hooooo!!!

Doing a little better

Feb 23, 2007

Today is Friday 2/23/07, I am 18 days post op, I'm feeling a little better than earlier this week.  Still not able to eat much, if anything at all, I haven't really had any nausea, but alot of times I just feel like I can't get things down...I'm not complaining though, I have not had one pang of hunger since the surgery ...which just blows my mind!!  I promised myself I wasn't going to weigh more than once a week, but I broke down this morning and weighed when I got up, I lost 3 more pounds, WHOO HOOO, so at least the scales are headed in the right direction.   I'm so very excited to start seeing the results...I can't wait for someone to say,"WOW, you look great"...My husband did tell me last night that he could tell I had lost weight, which is pretty big coming from him.....So, wish me luck....hopefully next week I'll have more good news to report.

Is this normal??

Feb 21, 2007

I'm just over 2 weeks post op, when I went to have my drains removed I had lost 15 pounds, I weighed the next morning and had lost a few more, so in the first week I had lost almost 20 pounds, but I haven't lost any since then....I made myself stop weighing everyday, I'm only gonna weigh once a week, and I know I'm being impatient, but I want so badly to see the weight start coming off.....Is this normal?   Is my body just playing catch up from  not eating and losing so much the first week?  I know 2 weeks, 20 pounds is great, I'm not complaining.  It's just a little discouraging to be eating so little and not see any change in the scales...I so badly need someone to talk to, I have so many questions......
