Surgery in the morning

I am suprisingly calm as I write this. Not real worried about the procedure itself, but more concerned for the days afterwards. Of course, just my opinion, there is such a thing as too much knowledge. I've read so much here and other sites.. and it doesn't help that by profession I am a nurse who has worked both in the recovery room and ICU. That means I know the potential complications.

But, even though I know thos complications... the greater risk is the complication that have been progressively developing in my life as a result of my obesity. Diabetes developing, high triglycerides, HDL dropping and osteoarthritis in both knees...
