~190 POUNDS GONE~
Sep 25, 2007
Sept. Well this month leaves me with a note that I am getting divorced. This has very little to do with the weight loss just letting you all know for those who have this as a concern that once you lose the weight divorce is on the horizon. I will tell you though that I have been told that if there is any little crack in your relationship that having this surgery can be like taking a sledge hammer to that crack. Just always keep open communication and do things together. Once you start to lose the weight you are going to change...I am not saying everything about you will change but it does bring on changes. I have always been outgoing but since the surgery I feel soo much better that I think that outgoing attitude became bigger than life. Until next time...remember this....NOTHING TASTES AS GOOD AS THIN FEELS!!!
From the old site to the new...

November 20th 2006....I am now an official OH Support Group Leader!!!
Thanksgiving 2006~Well I survived the Thanksgiving Holiday and did not GAIN weight. I stayed the same...Whew!!! Hope you all have a Wonderful Holiday Season. Keep Up The Good Work and Remember To Be True To Yourself.
December 2006~This Holiday Season has been very kind to me. I went to the Christmas Party with a friend of mine down at the Bariatric Hospital in the city...IT was MARVELOUS!!! God is helping me with some issues from my past right now...Before in life I always had the WEIGHT to hide behind when life got hard to deal with...now that the weight is gone I have to learn to deal with the issues without turning to food. I know that all things are possible thru Jesus Christ who gives me strength.
January 2007...New Year and New Outlook on LIFE!!!! I have not only changed soo much physically but mentally as well. I am working on some past relationships that needed healing. I am learning to deal with things in a positive way and try not to Sweat The Small Stuff as they say. My Hope and Prayer for each of you is to find all that happiness you are searching for in 2007.
Going to the city to have some tests done on Monday!!!
Tests show that I am a really good fat burner! Who knew....You could not have told me that just over a year ago for sure.
I have been having alot of problems with pain in my left side of my abdomen. So far they think I have over done it on the exercising. I will give it another month and if I am still having the abdominal pain I am going to have it checked out.
If anyone knows of anything to help your hair on your head grow that will not make you grow a beard in the process....please let me know! I am between Bald N Bearded at this point...which way should I go? Peace My Friends!
March 2007
Just an update to let you all know that I found a 3-Step Shampoo/Conditioner that has helped with the hair loss. Someone at SuperCuts told me about it and that cancer patients use it when they are trying to grow hair back. The product is called Nioxin (www.nioxin.com).

Hello again...I have about 40 more pounds to lose to get to my personal goal. I am thinking about getting a book called Losing The Last 30 lbs by Dr. Simpson. If anyone out there has read this book let me know what you think about it and if it helped you or not. My major problem right now is with cravings & increased appetite around a "certain" time of the month. Information out there says that this is a hormonal issue and it happens to alot of women...that does not help me much! I get a chocolate craving that is really hard to fight. So if anyone has some really good tips on fighting the Choco beast I would love to hear about it.
Sorry I have not got to spruce up this site as much as I would have liked too...I am going to college, have two teenage boys, and am co-leader of a local support group called "Lean On Me" and am President of the Local AAPC chapter of CPC. Soo alot going on in my life. Until next time...Hang In There!!!
MAY 1st 2007~HAPPY MAY DAY!!!
Just a quick note to update you all on my progress. I have lost 170 pounds to date and am starting to do some checking into the plastic surgery aspect of this whole process. I have had two major set-backs in the exercise realm.
(1) abdominal pull twice now
(2) knee injury (ligaments)
Both were brought on by exercise....I think I put my body into shock....and it was saying hold on....EXERCISE....what is that! However I really LOVE to exercise now and as soon as I heal from these set-backs I am going to go back into it with full force. Untile next time....Stay Safe....Healthly and Happy!
July 2007~Hope everyone is having a WONDERFUL summer. Well I am back to kick-boxing 4 nights a week now and we are getting ready to start a whole new exercise program called P90X. I am really excited about this. I got done with my college class that was taking time away from my once a month support group meetings because of time conflictions with the two. I am now going back to my meetings regularly and find that YOU have to work on not just the body but the mind as well thru this whole life changing process. I have met some really GREAT people along the way and I am happy with my progress thus far!
August 2007~I just want to take the time this month to reflect on where I have came from and where I am going. I want to lift those up in prayer that are traveling this same path but find the road blocked or really really bumpy. Keep the Faith...it is worth it!!!
