My story began back in June 2006.this is the first time I saw DR Wynn. She told me I was a good cand. for surgery and I started the process. I had my surgery on 9/14/06. I have lost 26 lbs so far and I feel great. I still see my psych. every two weeks, he is there to help with the food issues and other problems that come with weigh loss. I have been heavy for about 20 years now. I really packed on the pounds when I lost my job. I worked for a credit card company (MBNA) and due to down sizing I was taken from a clerks job to a janitors job. Well I hurt my back and was forced off that job, given my walking papers. We lost everything we owed. House and cars. I was so depressed, I didn't want to get out of bed. So we now live in an apartment, which after living in a single family home is really hard to get use to. Other people's noise and not having the freedom of a lawn to take care of. But it does have some plus's we don't have to fix something when it breaks or do a yearly maintain on the heater or shovel the snow. You may ask yourself why I didn't get out and try to find another job, well I did try and still am looking for another job. Noone wants to hire me . I was working with a service through our local workforce and she thinks that maybe MBNA is giving a bad reference, but I am still looking. I also am raising my four year old grandson who has aspergers syndrome. He has been with us since birth. He won't stay with his mother. she got married and he doesn't like his stepfather. I don't think they go out of their way to make him feel welcome when he is at there home. He is a high function special needs child who can try the patience of a saint. he does go to school for half a day so I do get a little break. so that is my story so far. I will update on the blog.
