I am starting a journey. A very personal journey to discover the real me that I have kept hidden behind all this weight for far too long.
My name is Teresa 
I am a 28 year-old mother of an amazing 10 year-old daughter and I have a wonderful man in my life. The day I found out I was pregnant with my daughter at 18 I weighed 115 pounds. That is an amazing difference from the 262 that I currently am, and the 282 that I was at my highest weight. January 2012 I weighed in at 276, that day at my physical my family doctor took time to listen to my concerns when it comes to weight loss and the crazy roller coaster I have been on for the past 10 years. Within a week she had me signed up for a meeting at Sparrow Weight Management in Lansing MI. Instead if feeling ashamed of my weight I left the meeting feeling a sense of hope. There are many other people who need to use RNY as a tool for weight loss. The past few months have been a very emotional and empowering journey for me. I hope I get to continue sharing my story with all of you along my approval process and whatever else may come.
