I had a duodenal switch in May of 2002. I never experienced the weight loss I had hoped and now in 2011, I am experiencing malnutrition and severe Vitamin D levels. I am scheduled to have a revision to an R&Y which will include reattaching a portion of my intestines to allow for more absorbtion of nutrients.
Am a bit anxious, but I love my surgeon and trust him completly. He has done my WLS surgery follow-up care since 2002 when my original surgeon quit his practice.
