Where to start? how about the beginning, as that tells you all.

I wasn't a fat baby, but it did start around 6 years old for me. I was the big kid matching my mom while my other siblings were regular size. I hated always being bigger than my sisters.

I was 225 when I married my husband and after kids, my weight piled on. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto disease, and the medicine for depression ballooned me up to 275. My top weight was 298 after I had pre-cancer in my cervix and Uterus removed.  I was miserable. Family history staring me in the face ( diabetes, heart disease etc) I went to see a weight loss surgeon.

2009 I had the lapband and lost 50 pounds in 1 year. After braces disrupted my chewing I started having problems with getting stuck and the unfills did me in.  My body continued to swell and my throwing up got harder to control. I was not tolerating the band so we had to get it removed.

I had my surgery on 1/14/2013 to remove my band and revise to RNY. I did not wish to go back and knew without this help I would regain:-(

Im 20 pounds down from my surgery (2/1/13) and all 90% of the swelling in my arms, legs and face resolved. I still have leg pain, but that has dereased dramatically as well.

I just now have to relearn what I have to do differently now that I have the mal absorbtion from the RNY surgery.
