Here I go... Again

Two weeks ago I spent R 3,000 ($ 428) for diet tablets and a diet mixture that I promptly gave up after 2 days. This must surely bring my grand total to a figure of R 25,000 ($ 3,571) for all the ditched diets, colon cleanses, special and expensive foods - some of which worked, albeit for a short time for me to only regain the weight again.
I originally toyed with the idea of weight loss surgery a year ago, favouring the lapband route. However, with the slower results and lack of guarantees, I am now leaning towards the RNY procedure but most especially towards the gastric sleeve procedure. I met with a surgeon last week and was told that pending the outcome of a cardiologist report and a meeting with a nutriotinist, I should be a candidate. He thinks that the procedure could be scheduled as early as January 2010! Cold feet? I think so...
I have stuck a pin in that route and am waiting for my appointment with another weight loss centre 0of excellence which comes highly recommended and whose holistic view of meeting with the surgeon, the weight loss fundi, the nutriotinist and a therapist resonates with me. They are also $ 1,428 cheaper (trust me it adds up)!!!

weight: 227.2lbs;
height: 5 ft 2 inch;
sex: yes please and female actually;
age: 27
I look forward to participating in this forum and making many friends whose brains I will pick to make my weight loss all the more successful. Wish me luck because here I go again - for the last time...
