My life I can say began on October 6, 2003 when I layed on the operating table and closed my eyes to a surgery that was published as very dangerous, a open Gastric Bypass. Life for me has always been a struggle with weight due to heavy depression from a crazy childhood up to bad marriages of abuse, physical and mental. I stirred up a weight of almost 300pounds til I finally decided to change my life one day in September of 2002. A friend had told me about Gastric Bypass and I researched the heck out of it til I finally decided to make that choice and call a doctor about it. It was the best thing I ever did with my life. It was rough and still is..Where I am now is down to a weight of 132pds and my life has calmed down with a great man, a good job, and im in college getting straight A's studing to be a nurse. I have just gone through a anchor cut tummy tuck and I am still recovering from that with very happy results. I dont know if I could of been happy without my Gastric Bypass or I dont even know if I would be here without it, but I don't regret it and I am hoping with future plastic surgery and expanding my relationship with my man, and following my goal to be a nurse has been because I did what I did and made me be me again..

Here I am 8 years later and have gained back at least 60 plus pounds of my weight loss, very dissapointed with myself, considering a revision but not sure which one to have and if my insurance will cover it. Feeling like a failure..

3-7-11 Went for a consult for a revision lap band today....didn't go as planned, Doc said the insurance won't pay for a lap band and I would have to pay out of pocket. So my next choice is that I am going for a upper GI in 3 days to see if my pouch has grown back into my stomach and opened up and if it has he can go in and restaple it and seperate it. Hopeing for the best here, I am so discouraged...

3-21-11 Upper Gi results came back and it seems my RNY is all intact the way it should be and everything is working fine, so if  I want anything done its gonna be a DS in search for a DS doctor I go.....
