Hello Patty - <b>Congratulations, </b>your special day is almost here! I suspect you are experiencing a range of emotions right now. The week before my surgery I was on a natural high, almost a euphoric state of mind. I couldn't believe I was getting that "second" chance ...to LIVE life again. I wish you all the success and happiness that comes with being healthier and thinner. Sure, there can be a few challenges along the way, but no worse then sitting on the sidelines - confined by our overweight shells. You're about to break free, enjoy and embrace all the wonderful "moments" that come with this journey. Patty, I just finished reading your profile and thought I would wish you the best on your WLS journey! I am a patient of Dr. Fisher's too. He is a great surgeon and also a real down to earth person. I am 8 days post op and feeling really good. My starting weight was 265 and I am 5'8'. As of today at my 1 week check up I am already down 17 lbs. Pretty amazing!!! While this procedure is scary and very much life changing I can say I am so happy with my choice. Stay focused on your goal and your time will be here before you know it!
