I just found the ultimate protein source since I hate those shakes like Myoplex and stuff like that.  I was not getting enough because the taste was so nauseating.  We went to Costco and found these things called Body Choice Concentrated Weight Loss Shot.  There are 12 in a pack and they look like an extra large plastic test tube with a screwable cap.  It is 2.9 oz per shot and itis fruit punch flavor.  It is about 3 gulps and the taste is not bad at all.  You get 25g of protein in 3 oz and 3g fiber right there. It was only 104 calories.  I can handle doing that once in the morning and not have to worry about losing my hair from low protein.  If you eat normally you are sure to get the rest you need.  If not, 2 of these shots will do you for the day since my doctor said I have to get 50g per day.  The downside is 12 of them cost $19 but I guess it is just because the amount is so small but it is better than drinking a gallon of that other "stuff".

I found out that my insurance covers bypass and lap band procedures.  Is there any reason you can't elect to have bypass instead of lapband?  I weigh 240 and need to lose about 100 pounds.  I have already talked to my doctor once, but am wondering if there is anything that makes you more a candidate for the bypass instead of the lapband.
