God be with you, Suzanne. I'm not from Sandy (Southern California), but I grew up in the area, and still have relatives in Sandy. My surgery will be in March, but I felt compelled to "talk" to you when I saw Sandy as your city. By the way, my daughter had this surgery 3 years ago. She looks wonderful, has no troubles whatsoever (after her first 6 months of relearning about food), and has since become the proud parent (with her hubby, of course!) of twin boys. I know you and your husband will not regret taking advantage of this great God-given gift!

Hi Suzanne! I live in Sandy, UT, I also am having my surgery done by Dr. Halversen. They called me today with insurance approval. I am scheduled for my consult on the 24th, that's just 3 days after he does your surgery :) Then I am scheduled for surgery on Feb 3. I hope that everything goes well for you, I know exactly what you are going through, I had a hard time with the insurance too! I am excited! but now that I have a date, the nerves start to set in. Congratulations on taking this step to gain back control of your life. I go for the surgery, the day before you, on the 20th. I hope your surgery is free of complications and you loose all the weight you want to. Good Luck and God Bless

Suzanne - Your time will be here soon to enter into your new life. Being positive will help with your recovery. Ask if you need anything. That is what we are here for. I am so excited for you. You are receiving a gift/tool that many others only hope for. Take advantage of the benefits, work hard to get your fluids in, eat right, take your vitamins, exercise, etc. Do lots of research, that will benefit you more than anything else. Take control of your aftercare. It is very important. Will be thinking of you. Best wishes.
