Here is the update: 

We are going to be starting our meetings.  The meetings will be held at the Patchogue Medford Library on Main Street in Patchigue.  There is parking behind the building.  The meetings will be from 7:00-9:00 on Tuesdays.  The first meeting is tentativly scheduled for Tuesday November 4th.  We know this is election day but we want to get started.  The first meeting will be from 7:00-8:00 so people can still vote.  I am looking for a response so that we know we will have some members.

Heading West:

From the Long Island Expressway take Exit 64 (Route 112),  at 112 make a left heading south to end, at E. Main Street make a right.  Continue down to number 54 East Main Street, library is on left hand side.

From Sunrise Highway take Exit 53 (Route 112), at 112 make a left heading south to end, at E. Main Street make a right.  Continue down to 54 East Main Street, library is on left hand side.

Heading East:

HI Everyone,

 Just wanted to let you all know that Lizzy L and I are going to be forming a suffolk WLS support group in the next month or so.  If you are interested in some additional support please let us know, make sure you add yourself as my friend and watch for blog postings.  We hope to see everyone there.

               Well I finally had my surgery and couldn't believe it was real.  On August 18th I had the surgery that will change my life.  I lost 30 pounds before my surgery and I have lost 20 more since.  Everytime I get on the scale I am down 2-3 pounds, I am melting and I can't even keep up with myself.   
              It was not an easy road but I am getting there.  I am on soft foods in week three including opti-fast, yogurt, cottage cheese.  That is the most difficult just adjusting to this new lifestyle, but I am so happy to be here and moving forward in a healthy positive way!

I am doing well but it is difficult to not feel like I need more then some drinks boxes in a week.  Going on day 13 on Opti and staying strong, somehow.  I am mentally ready for this so I can stick it out.  It's worth it.
