Steve, congrats on your approval, I know first hand how hard you had to fight for this. Kudos to you for fighting for what you wanted, the lapband, even when the insurance was trying to shove other surgery at you. As I told you when you wanted to give up the fight...if it worth it to you, it worth fighting for. Please dont think you have wasted the time of your appeal....everything happens for a reason and doing the right season. I expect nothing but great things of you. I expect you to follow the band rules at least 98% of the time. You will have 2% to play with. In saying this, are you sure about what you asked me?? You can always change your mind but know that I will not be an angel in name only, I will give you all the support that you will ever need but I will not sugar coat or say what you want to hear..when you are messing up, I will let you know.

Hi Steve. I am wishing you the best of luck in getting your insurance to pay for your surgery so that you don't have to take the loan against your house. I didn't handle the insurance BS very well and ended up giving in and going self-pay only to have people I know who have the same insurance that I have get the band paid for after arguing with them long enough. I guess it comes down to waiting vs. shelling out $20,000. In any case, good luck in getting the surgery this year and in reaching your goals. Serena
