"I had my RNY with Dr. Macik on Friday, January 30th at Emory John's Creek Hospital. I am now a week out and am doing very well. I had virtually no pain after the surgery, which most find hard to believe. At one week out, I can barely tell that I had anything done! I really appreciate Dr. Macik and his entire staff as this has been an awesome journey for me thus far. I felt extremely confident with my choice of Dr. Macik from the start, and nothing has changed my confidence in him. Better yet, my confidence was strengthened and confirmed over time as each time I met someone in the medical profession who knew him, I was told that I had a \"great surgeon\" and would be in \"great hands.\" Even on the day of surgery, one of the attending nurses said that out of all the surgeons she has worked with, she would choose Dr. Macik to do her surgery. That spoke volumes to me and gave me that extra bit of comfort as I prepared to \"go under the knife.\" While some say that Dr. Macik is too quiet for them, I can relate to his \"quiet way of being\" as I too am a person of few words.
