Tomorrow is the big day!!!

Jun 26, 2007

My lap band revision is at 7:30 tomorrow morning.  I'm excited to start losing weight again.  I so want to get this weight off and feel better.  Please keep me in your prayers!!!
Did anybody see Big Medicine last night on TLC channel?  It featured Ramon who is a regular poster on this website.  He lost about 250 lbs and had a tummy tuck on the show.  How awesome!!!  Way to go Ramon!!!
I'll write again as soon as I'm able.  Peace and Blessings to all!!!

Getting the word out!!

Jun 15, 2007

Well, I've told my boss and a couple people at work about the surgery.  As you know, news  travels fast in the office so thanks to the few blabbermouths, now everybody knows.  I don't care though because this is all about me and my well being, physically, mentally and spiritually.  Instead of worrying about what I'm doing they need to be worrying about improving their own lives.   A few family members have also expressed concern about my having surgery again.  They're worried about the risk of "going under the knife."   I assured them that I understand the risks and believe that the benefits outweigh the risks.  I've had all the major pre-op tests and have been cleared.  I told them instead of dwelling on the "what if," to claim and believe that all will go well.  I am a firm believer in you create what you think, so I choose to think this is going to be successful .   "Right her and now, I block all negative thoughts, words, or actions against me. They are cancelled out and will not touch me.  I claim a safe and successful surgery and weight loss.   I attract all positive and good will towards me.  So it is written, so it is done."
Peace and blessings to all........

Pre-Op Testing

May 25, 2007

First round pre-op testing:   blood, urine, ekg, chest x-ray, education class, and we even got to take home a spirometer to practice breathing!!   Someone in our class got the liver shrinking diet which is to be done for 2 weeks prior to surgery.  It's clear liquids and protein only for two whole weeks.  What a great way to prepare for surgery!!

2ND TIME AROUND

May 07, 2007

Are there others on here who have had a revision?  I'd like to hear from you.  I'm treating this like it's the first time.  Going back to basics.  Water, vitamins, exercise, protein.  I'm also going to the local support group meetings and of course, I've joined this board again.  It was such a big help the first time.  I need all the help I can get.  Thanks and have a wonderful day,  Queen Deneen

SECOND TIME AROUND

May 06, 2007

Hi, I'm Queen Deneen and this is my 2nd time around.  I had a gastric bypass 5 years ago, lost 130 lbs and kept it off until recently.  It has been a struggle though.  Not easy at all because in your mind, you still want to eat but you can't .   Recently I've gained 40 lbs back and that scares me so I am having a revision.  I've been approved to have the lapband and will soon have a date.  I am so excited!!!  This time around I'm going to reach my goal of having a normal BMI.  I'm also seeing a psychologist to help me through the transition.
I'll keep you posted.
