OK , so I'm 2 months out of WLS . My starting weight was 340 , I'm now 260 !!! I used to wear shirt size 4x I'm now XL , my waste size was 50 , now 44 . I'm feeling so good now !! I have so much energy . Working out every Mon ,Wed ,Fri . I do cardio & lift weights .

My name is Greg , aka Big Dog . I just had Gastric Bypass surgery on the 20th of Jan 09 !!! My total loss is 65 lbs !! i feel great ! To this date i have had no problems or complications !! (knock on wood ) My journey started in Aug of 08 ,  so it didn't take too long for me . I was determined to loose the weight i needed to get that surgery ! And with the help of all my family , friends & loved ones i did it !! My goal weight for surgery was 311 . My weight on the day of surgery was 298 !! I hadn't been under 300 since Jr high !! I was so happy : ]  The reasons that i decided on surgery was that i was 32 yrs old , type 2 diabetes , Family history of heart disease , and cancer . I didn't want to wait for something to happen ! I had tried my whole life to loose the weight , even went as far as using steroids , I always ended up with the weight back !! The person who opened my eyes to GBS was Joe . He had it done in 07 . I didn't know till one day he came over to see me . I freaked out when i saw him !! He was thin !! He used to be bigger than me !! He explained to me the surgery & told me he thought i would really benefit from it . I had heard about it for a long time but was always too chicken to look into it . Well , soon after that i made my appointment with my Dr and what he thought . He told me he wanted me too loose the weight the same way i gained it . (NOT) I told him i didn't have 30 yrs !!! My father died of diabetes at 51 . So  i proceeded to dump him & get a new Dr . That's when i found Dr.Lu on line . I made an appointment with him to ask for the surgery . Funny thing was , that i didn't even need to ask him , he referred it to me !! I was so excited , he sent the referral to Fremont , CA Surgery Center right then . And that's where the ball got rolling . The rest is history , as they say .
