My story is probably like many others. I started having a weight problem at 4 years old. My mom would talk to our doctor every year about it and he would say the same thing year after year..."she will grow out of it..." Unfortunately, I never grew out of it. I have yoyo dieted off and on my adult life. Some things were successful, but I was never able to keep it off.
My husband loves me for who I am, but is willing to do what it takes to make me happy. I, of course, am not happy with the way I am. I cannot live like this and expect to live a long life. After months of research, I have decided that the Sleeve is the right choice for me.
I am going through the motions as if my insurance is going to pay for this. It does cover WLS, but not the Sleeve. My doctor said that anything can happen in 3 months time and lots more in 6 months. That brings me to the present, I am working on my manditory 6 months weight loss program.
