5th fill!!! I moving towards my goal.

Well I had my 5th fill now I rec'd 1cc today total of 3.5 cc. And I lost 4lbs I'm happy and staying motivated. Life is Good regardless of my mishaps. I'm bless.!
4th fill w/Dr. Boe (No more Dr. Brader)

I had my 4th fill 7/6/07 but it was puzzling experience for several reasons. Dr. Brader is no longer with Barix so I was assigned to Dr. Boe whose been with Barix of Ill. but transfer to Pa. site. I was upset with the resignation but nothing I can do. Dr. Boe made a great first impression. But here's the puzzling part Dr. Boe reports the chart state my band is filled with 4cc but when he unfilled my band it was 1.5 cc. So he gave me a fill of 1cc. Which equal 2.5cc. I was shock myself but hey what can I do. So now I feel a little restriction and I am happy. When I step on the scale my weight remained the same and I'm ok. But I realize that I have been my own self sabotage in my weight loss journey. Because since this journey began I have been waiting on the restriction to lose weight and not doing my part. It click last week that regardless of the restriction I have to do my part which means eat right, drink plenty of water and exercise. With adding this the weight will fall off. I work out this morning, I felt great with my heart rate up, the sweat pouring down my body and drinking 32oz of water. Now that I am in mentally in the game, I feel good.
Dr. Visit but no Fill.

Well today I hada visit which was suppose to be my 4th fill but Dr. Brader states the band looks snug from the x-ray. So no fill was given my next fill is schedule a month from now. I dont feel the restriction but he's the Dr. so I didnt want to contest. But next visit I will if I dont get a fill. :) I was happy I lost 4lbs and so was Dr. Brader he stated he wants his lapband patients to lose between 3-5lbs a month. (I prefer to lose 5-10lbs a month.) So I feel that I am focus and ready to continue the battle and the road to victory.
3rd. Fill

Well I had my 3rd filled 5/10/07. But I must admit that I am not doing well I gained 6lbs. I'm back at my surgery weight. With this 3rd fill I still have no restrictions. But like Dr. Brader stated he can fill me with 10cc I still have to do my part. Reality talk is always what's needed. So I came to the reality is either I wanted or not.What am I prepared to do to get it?
2nd fill

I had my 2nd fill on 3/29/07. I also had an X-Ray done. It was kinda neat seeing the band around my stomach. But I still have little to no restrictions. I was happy to know that I lost 3lbs. My next appointment is 5/11/07, it will be my 3rd fill. Dr. Brader states the 3rd fill should be effective. He believes in taking it slow and not rush the process and focus on eating right as well as exercising. I guess he has a point.

I didnt know what to title this blog. I have so many thoughts racing thru my mind regarding this process. I cant say that I regret doing the procedure but just disappointed by the progress but it's mostly my fault not eating healthy as I should. I know I must get my head in the game. I go for my second fill on 3/29/07. I pray that it gives me some restriction because right now I have none. Any weight I lose is by my effort. I have to get my mind right and do what's best for me and that's eating right and excerise.
Pain in my tummy

For the past 2 days I've been having pain near my port area. Sharp pains that last 3 to 5 minutes. I called Dr. Brader's office they told me pain was normal and take something. So I took a motrin and it help but I guess this is what I have to deal with for the rest of my life. I knew it wasnt going to be easy.

I had my first fill 3/1/07. Dr. Brader stated that the first fill is just a formality. No real change to your eating habits just getting your body adjusted. Next fill is 3/29/07. So until then I will continue my exercise and eat better than what I did this weekend. I must say this is a slow process but I realize that I must be patient and do my part.
