19 hours and counting till surgery...

Hi friends and family,
Let the count down begin.. I was in the hospital for about 2-3 hours today. First we pre-registered, then we went upstairs and had our labs drawn, and an ekg, then we were sent back downstairs for a chest xray.. Whew.. got my exercise today.. just joking..lol..smile..
I am very nervous.. I drank the magnesium citrate(bowel prep) at about 2pm and so far nothing has happened?? I guess it's gonna start right when I want to try and go to sleep.. Everyone is in their own rooms right now, My husband in the living room, my son in his bedroom, and I am typing away in my daughters room... They are snacking, and eating, it seems like everything in the house, and I am on liquids today.. boy is this hard.. I'm am so ready for this to happen, I am both excited and scared at the same time.
Well enough for now, I will type again, when I get back home.

I lost another 15 lbs..

I can not believe it.. I have actually lost 29 lbs since attending my first meeting at the Bariatric Center in Oakland, Ca. My surgery is set for the 15th, next Tues. and I am really excited.. Thanks to Helen & Myra's continued support. these two ladies I keep mentioning are the two nurses that assist my surgeon. Both of which I might add, have also had the surgery and look wonderful...

Just an update.. It's a go...!!!
Received a fax this morning, from Deangela and I am all set to go. I have my Pre-op tomorrow, My Pre-Op labs on Monday 5/14 and surgery on Tues. 5/15. Now that it is all said and finalized, the scared, nervous mode has set in. I have been really trying to diet, and lost 14 pounds this last month. I hope I have lost more when I get weighed tomorrow.?? I want the doctor to be able to do this procedure laproscopic, and am trying my best to make it easier on all involved..

I just received a telephone call from Deangela, she now has my chart and is awaiting the transcription. I am tentatively scheduled for surgery May 15, 2007. I am both anxious and scared at the same time.. I am going through hard times with my husband, I figure it's not going to get any easier, so he will just have to deal with it. I am so use to putting others first, I am now learning that I need to take care of me, because no one else will...smile..
Thanks to Myra and Helen for listening to me, and giving me that wonderful telephone support.. It was definitely appreciated.
