Follow-up with physical therapist

Sep 07, 2007

I had my follow-up with the physical therapist on 9/6. The last visit she had me having a stroke and heart attack before I would make it out to my car. I called my primary care physician, he put me on blood pressure meds and my blood pressure has not gone down a lot and my resting heart rate is still very high(108).

After this visit, she has concluded that it is probably normal for me and assigned some exercises. Now I wait to find out if I have been approved by my insurance to have surgery

Cross your fingers.

Doctors Appts.

So, I had the first of many appointments on 8/13. I saw the nutritionist, the doctor and physical therapist. The first two appointments went pretty good, but the physical therapist was confusing and conflicting. My blood pressure has been higher than normal and my resting heart rate is too fast, so i had to make another appointment within 30 days. I recently started high blood pressure meds, but had an allergy to them. I called my primary care physician immediately requesting a new prescription. I started the new meds last night, and everything seems to be going pretty good.

I guess I am suppose to hear whether I have been accepted after the return appointment from the physical therapist. I was told after those appointments, they compile all of the information, send it to my insurance company, then I get their answer. If I am approved, my surgery date is scheduled.

I am currently out of vacation time and only have 5 hours of sick pay left for the rest of the year, so i have been trying to schedule these appointments when i need to take the least amount of time off or can make up my time.

That is all for now. If you are from minnesota or are in the same stages of the process as I am, email me. maybe we can help each other through the frustrating stuff.

ready to start the process

May 06, 2007

Hi everyone! On May 8th I will start the process of my journey towards a healthier me. I have my first appointment with the nurse. It starts with an 1 1/2 hour computer assesment and then an appointment with the nurse afterwards to discuss my results. Then I have the appointment with the psychiatrist on the 18th.

I am not planning on having surgery until January. I want to wait until I have been at my job for one year before I take that much time off. I really want to take the time to start an exercise regimen.
