I had lapband surgery 1/7/2006. I initially lost 80 pounds. The band slipped and I subsequently regained all my weight. I had surgery with Dr. Alvarez, 1/16/2010. He removed my band, and was going to try and revise to sleeve. The scar tissue was too much so NO VSG at this time. I was so glad to get that retched band out of my body. I year later and I am ready to get the VSG done, have chose to go to Dr Joya who placed my band in 2006. Surgery date is set for 3/7/2011.
ADDENDUM: I was unable to get the VSG way too much scar tissue. Dr. Joya did the RNY instead. So let the journey begin.
