Hi Therese: You should be very, very proud of your 21 pound loss. If you had gained 21 pounds, NOW THAT WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN GOOD AT ALL!! LOL. As long as you get back on track and shoot for another loss this year, you'll do fine!! Keep up the good work, Mary Ann

Therese, I apologize that I didn't realize your surgery was in '01. But there's still hope. This surgery is a tool, and if you start following a plan you can start using it again. I've read of countless people who are where you are, and many chose to re-start the weight loss by applying what they had already done. A nutritionist could help give you focus. Whatever it takes, don't give up on what you had done. You've already come a long way. Let me know if I can help.

Hello (((sweetpea))), You are looking so absolutely wonderful!!!....I am sooo glad your test was a breeze....Now I hope you get over that phnewmonie symptoms!!! Thanks for sharing that the test was easy...I have the fear of having to have these test(but so far so good).....God Bless!!! and keep up the great work!!!...Congrats on the weight loss!!!

Therese - Congrats on your 19 lbs more weight loss! I'm so happy for you girl! Its so good to have someone going through this so close to me. I think the nurses got a kick out of us at the hospital when all they could hear was YES YES YES!!!! Girl thats 38 lbs between us just in that one weigh in. Congrats!!!!!!

I'm on the other side now! I had my surgery on July 25th. After I got over the feeling that I was going to die from the pain (which no one really warned me about) and walked around like the living dead for about 2 weeks, I'M FEELING GREAT!!! I actually feel better now than I did before surgery. I am still on liquids and sometimes mashed potatoes, but I'm not sick. I can't imagine EVER wanting to eat food again. Not EVER. Yuck! But Steak & Shake has a vegetable soup that has the BEST broth, so I am quite content right now. I am having a bit of trouble with protein drinks. They make me throw up. They taste just like sugar to me. (which used to not be a problem at all):) Heck, even skim milk tastes like sugar to me. Is that freaky or what? *smile* Before the surgery I wouldn't have even thought of drinking skim milk!!! It was nasty. Now I LOVE the stuff. Things sure change after the surgery. Anyway, I'm on my way to the mall (God help me), so I'll have to update later. By the way....I lost 19 lbs by the time I left the hospital & was down by 23 lbs when I went back for my one week check up. And people are already starting to notice my weight loss. (or at least they love me enough to pretend they do) *smile* Good luck everyone! And remember....it really does get better with time!!!
