I started to think about weight loss surgery after being a WW member for a year. I lost 40lbs, but could never break that barrier. I kept that weight off for 6 mths, but it slowly crept back on. I have high cholesterol and high blood pressure and felt the need medically to get this weight off soon. I started the process in July of 2008 and got insurance approval in mid November. Surgery date was scheduled for Dec. 30th, 2008.
