Not much of story to tell as far as weight goes. I my BMI is currently 42 and I am 5’1” and hovering around 225lbs and my body feels every ounce of that every time I try to do any physical activity. I have 3 beautiful grandchildren that I would like to play with without gasping for air or having limited mobility. I have the standard co-morbidities that come with a 42BMI and I am on multiple medications. I feel like I have finally hit bottom and I want to feel healthy again. Over the years I have entertained the idea of weight loss surgery, but insurance and finances have always been an issue. This year I have a new insurance plan that should cover the surgery, so now I can’t wait! I have begun the pre-surgery hoops (ie: pcp recommend, co-morbidity diagnosis, blood work, upper GI, counseling visits). My final hoop is the official insurance approval.
