Okay, got word today that my pre-auth for surgery has been given and I'm all set for 8/4/10.  I'm nervous and excited at the same time.  I'm sticking to my pre-op liquid diet... so far, I haven't been too hungry or too homicidal.  Yesterday was the worst day yet... I was very emotional and teary.  Today, thanks to my wonderful boss, I took a mental health day that I sorely needed.  I probably shouldn't have, considering I'm going to be off of work for a while, but it did wonders.  My mind is reset, and I'm ready.  I spent the day getting things organized.. ordered a food processor (the surgery is a great excuse because I've been wanting one for a while) and thought about what to stock up on for the immediate post-op period.  

Onward and upward!
