We were in a bad car accident (we rolled 6 times) God definitely isn't ready for us yet, first he gets me through the surgery and now I survive this, I am blessed!

I can't believe it is 2006. My hubby and I are now trying to conceive our first child. I thank God for helping me through this surgery and getting me healthy to the point of being able to finally conceive. I dreaded not having children and it was my weight that was causing it. Hopefully next time I post on here it will be good news about being prego. Anyway I am still maintaining my weight of 160 and my waist is now 31" WOW I can't believe it. I can sit on my honey's lap and not squish him lol.. Talk to you later!

Wow it's almost been a whole year now! I really can't believe it. I have been between 165 and 175 for about oh 3 months now, but don't get me wrong, I don't mind. I have never been this small. I started the Cindy Crawford total body trainer today and oh man was I sore.. Well I hope everything is great for all.God Bless!!

Okay people are getting upset with me for not updating. I'm sorry I have been so busy with different things. Well I am now at 175 lbs. Nothing else is really new right now. I need to get back into exercising. The old me keeps trying to sneak out. Have a wonderful day! Thank you Jesus for helping me to get to where I am today!

I cant believe I am in a size 12 now!! I went from a 16 to a 12. This is just such a huge thing to me lol... Oh man does it look good too lol. My husband didnt know yet this morning when he woke up and when I walked in the room in my new jeans he said man you look good.. lol (Drool on baby) It felt good to shock him because that is not easy to do since he sees me every day. Thank you God for helping me to be smaller than I don't know when. I can't ever remember being in a size 12. I was in a 16 when I was 14. Without God I wouldn't be as healthy as I am today!! I love you Lord!!

Well I am down to 203-204 somewhere in between lol. I am so happy to be so close to being under 200 lbs. I am now in sizes 14/16. I put on my first pair of size 14 shorts yesterday with no problem. It of course all depends on the maker which size I wear. I am also in my hubby's shirts..lol He isnt too happy with that but I dont care he will just have to have some shirts with booby indents on them.. Anywho I just have to say thank you to my lord and saviour Jesus Christ who has helped me through all of this. If it wasn't for the Lord I know none of this would be possible. Good luck to anyone thinking of going through this and make sure you put your life in the Lord's hands and not the surgeons.. If anyone should need someone to talk to please don't hesitate to e mail me. No questions are stupid and you won't bother me at all. I don't know everything but I know people I can ask if needed.

Well I can't believe it almost 3 months into this. This has been such and up and down journey.. Don't get me wrong I am glad that I got this done for the simple fact that I have lost so much weight and have so much more energy. Thank you God for all of this!!

Happy Valentines Day everyone!! Well today is the first day that I feel soooo good. I was able to job upstairs and not run out of breath. It's funny how the small steps make us so happy. Today is also the first day in a very long time that I am not sick to my stomach. Thank you God for this!! I know that without God I wouldn't be where I am at right now and I thank him for all of it. As of today I am down 45lbs. I am 8 weeks post op and still loosing steadily. I'm glad I am loosing slowly though. I haven't hit any plateus yet. I start my water arobics tonight!! I am very excited about that too. I just have so much to be thankful for. I hope eveyone is doing well also.

Wow this has been such an experience. I am at 6 weeks and a couple days and am very happy with what I have lost. I surely don't want to ever find it again. I am sooo happy to be off of the pureed diet but I have noticed that even though I think I chew enough I still haven't and well we all know what happens when you dont chew it well enough (barfing) eww yuck!! It seems that I have been feeling that way a lot though.. I realized that I had cut back on my protein because of feeling sick and well that made it worse!! That bites. I am feeling better now that I have been getting more protein intake. Again I must really thank Dr. Gomez and his staff because without them I wouldn't have been able to do it. I can't thank them enough for what they have done for me. Well I am at work so I must get going.

Today was my 2 week check up and all was great. I am now at 257 lbs and very excited about that. I didn't expect to loose 16 lbs in 2 weeks. Well talk to you later..TTFN!!

Merry Christmas all!!I got home on the 24th.. In the morning!! Can you believe it I wasn't there but 3 days. That is soooo great. Anywho must get off of here I am getting stiff and need to walk. Talk to you later!! TTFN

Well the day is finally here.. My persistance paid off. It was funny how hard it was to tell everyone see you later at work. You would think that would have been the easiest place to leave for a while from. Anywho the laxative stuff sucks!! My butt hurts and I'm hungry. LOL But above all that I am very thankful to my Lord Jusus Christ for giving me the opportunity to do this. Oh man I can't believe the day is finally here. It's 6:30 at night and I am tired so hopefully this stuff is done working. I shall write more when I get home. As far as I know I will be coming home on Christmas. TTFN

I got my approval on 11/29. It would have been sooner if Thanksgiving hadn't been around. I had to send some former insurance stuff to my insurance I currently have and that was on Tuesday the 23rd of Nov. Sue was on vacation till Monday and then she called them and they gave her the approval. So pretty much it was a matter of less than a weeks worth of working days. I am very impressed with my insurance which is Guardian. I am not nervous about the surgery but am very excited. My husband on the other hand bless his soul is worried and I'm sure he will be beside himself during..haha. My surgery date is going to be on 12/22/04 at 9am. It could have been on 12/14 if I was having an open but I would rather wait and not have as bad of a scar than have the open..

My information was sent to the insurance on Thursday 11/18/04 and I wrote my insurance to find out how long I have to wait etc. My return e mail stated that I should find something out in 3-4 business days and to call them if they dont call me. Talk about an awesome insurance(Guardian). Now I have to hope and pray they follow through and have an approval for me then.

Well I went to the Key Program at IUPUI and now have a consult scheduled with Dr. Gomez for Nov. 2, 2004. He seems to be a very nice person and I feel that I picked a great Dr. to do this for me. Now my main concern is going to be insurance approval.
I am 5'5" and weigh 273 lbs and have many medical problems from this. I am seriously looking to have this surgery done. I have Guardian as an insurance and after reading the stories I am more hopefull than ever..
