Well this is it ... my next post will be after my surgery. A little nervous... excited and ready to begin my new life! It's going to be great to be a healthier person. I want to thank all of you that have helped me get here, all your words of encouragement and information from OH has been awesome! I have met some great new friends here. An extra special thank you to my wonderful husband and the Lord above. 
Clearance for my WLS!! 5/7/08

Well today I went to Dr. Rosequest office for all my pre-op test results. Burnis came with me. I was very excited to find out all my test results were fine!
So I got my medical clearlance for my WLS!!! 
Can you tell I'm just a little excited? I gave Dr. Rosequest a big hug and won't have to go back to see her until Sept. She did tell me my liver was fatty and my glucouse and cholestrol is elevated but the surgery will make a big difference on all. I am now 16 days pre-op.
Just 18 days to surgery date 5/23/08 .... Yipeeeeeee!!!

Well I must say I've got a lot of emotions going on these days I'm very excited and a little nervous. I know I've picked a fantastic WLS doctor. Dr. William T. Avara will be doing my surgery. He also has a great staff that has been very supportive since my original consultation. I would like to say a special thankyou to Valarie and Lisa you've both been the greatest! 
I've got 18 days to go before my surgery date. I'm trying to get myself in the best health possible, I've lost between 12 and 13 pounds in the last 6 months and I'm beginning my excercise program today. I've had all my pre tests and go to see Dr. Rosequest on 5/7/08 for my medical clearance. A very special thanks to her and her staff, they have also been very supportive from day 1. 
Last but most of all I want to thank my wonderful husband Burnis for being there for me every step of the way. All the great words of encouragement as well as patience. I could have never made it to this point without him.
