On 8/23/04, I finally met with Dr. Marcus Miller who will be the main surgeon with Dr Price assisting. In order to get into the Patient forum for the office, I found that I needed to list Dr Price as the surgeon. I feel unfair doing this to Dr Miller because he's been so great. He was nice as could be
and informative, patiently answered all of our questions and explained the risks that come with the surgery. He reassured me that he had done another RNY procedure that needed a reconstruction from a previous Nissen Fundiplication surgery. When I asked him why he choose this field of specialty (paraphrased)he stated, it was very rewarding unlike other general surgeries where you don't stay in contact with the patient and see the change made in their lives. Dr. Miller works alongside Dr Price and I'm sure he's equally kind! They are starting to call Dr. Miller, Dr. Price, JR.
Competence should always be #1 but bedside manner is definitely a plus!"
